Chewy Chocolate Cookies

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 to 2 1/2 cups flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 to 2 cups chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugars together. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients, then add chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.

First tried in April 1995 - Delicious! Great texture!!
