The Ninth Drink

Sangria

2 cups red grape juice (instead of red wine)
1 1/8 cups pomegranate juice
1/4 cup white grape juice (instead of brandy)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup club soda

Put all ingredients in a large pitcher. Stir with a wooden spoon until well mixed. Add ice if desired. Pour into large wine glasses and garnish with orange slices and maraschino cherries. Serves 4.

Note: I read someone's recipe for non-alcoholic Sangria and they suggested using pomegranate juice, so we're trying that along with red grape juice as the wine substitute, instead of just only grape juice. Also, this recipe called for one bottle of wine, so I had to do some research to learn that the standard wine bottle size is 750 milliliters, which equals 3 1/8 cups.
