Citrus Turkey

I guess it's a bit too late for Thanksgiving, but it's not too late for your Christmas celebration. Here's the roast turkey recipe we tried this summer, part of our "holiday roasts" experimenting. It's not likely one we'll try again, but if you want to, here's the recipe. I had difficulty getting the juices and butter to combine, so if anyone knows how to do that, let me know and maybe we'll try it another time.

Be forewarned that this is not a simple recipe; it causes a lot of dirty dishes!

However, the cooking method of starting with a high temperature and then lowering it later worked well, (and is the method we used for our Thanksgiving turkey this year.) This was a juicy turkey, and it made great leftovers.
