Tangy Cocktail Sauce
We did try another cocktail sauce recipe, and liked it better than the first one.
Tangy Cocktail Sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1-2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3-4 dashes hot sauce, optional
Combine all ingredients. Enjoy this sauce with seafood, on burgers, as a tangy vegetable dip, and more.
And here's a recipe that also uses the chili sauce in the refrigerator. Reading this recipe I realized that there's a difference between prepared horseradish and horseradish cream. My little jar says "creamy style horseradish" (and I recall it being the only option in the grocery store). I wonder if I've been using the incorrect version. However, since we don't care for the zing of horseradish, maybe it's better that way.
Homemade Cocktail Sauce
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce
Combine all ingredients. Serve with shrimp.
