Crumbly Mess
Since we love brownies, and also enjoy trying new recipes, I decided to make the recipe on the back of the bag of Kirkland almond flour. While they tasted fine, these are dry and crumbly, not moist and fudgy. We'll stick with our tried-and-true previous recipe!
Almond Brownies
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup almond milk (or regular milk)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in egg, then milk and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Add dry mixture to butter mixture and blend. Stir in almonds and chocolate chips.
Spread batter in a greased 8x8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting into bars.
