Apple Prune Bread

 

We finally used the last of the prune puree which was in the refrigerator, using this recipe as inspiration, and the bread was delicious; we may just have this again.

Apple Prune Bread

  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • 1/4 cup chopped prunes (or prune puree)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
Combine the dry ingredients; stir in the remaining items. Spoon into three greased bread pans (mini size) and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
