One Hour Dinner Rolls
This week I needed a quick and easy dinner roll recipe that would be ready before an 8:30 AM departure, so I searched the internet and found this one. It worked out quite well.
One Hour Rolls
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Combine butter, water, milk and honey and heat to 110 degrees (either on the stove or in the microwave). Stir in yeast and let sit for 5 minutes. Add 3 cups of flour and the salt, stir and let sit for another 5-10 minutes. Knead in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Let sit for 15-20 minutes. Cut into 15 pieces, roll into balls and place in a greased 9x13" pan. Let rise 15-20 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. If desired, brush tops with melted butter.
