Apple Crisp

Fresh Fruit Crisp

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
5-6 cups sliced apples, peaches or pears
2 tablespoons sugar
vanilla ice cream

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs and set aside. Place fruit in baking dish and sprinkle with sugar. Top with crumb mixture. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream, or whipped cream. Serves 6.
