Chocolate Cherry Cake

Chocolate Cherry Cake

1 package (18 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup milk
1 cup chocolate chips

Combine dry cake mix, cherry filling, almond extract and eggs.  Pour into greased 9x13" pan and bake at 350­° for 25-30 minutes.

Combine sugar, butter and milk in saucepan and bring to a boil.  Stir in the chocolate chips.
Beat until smooth.
 Then pour over warm cake.
Cool, then serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
