Dutch Oven Fish Sandwiches

We're still on the sandwich section of the Dutch Oven Cookbook. Next up is two versions of fish sandwiches. They're your basic fish sandwich, just cooked in the Dutch oven. For this first version, we breaded fish fillets ourselves (flounder worked well); the second time we'll buy them already breaded. Version one was without cheese on homemade rolls; version two will be with cheese on hamburger buns. Warm the bread in the Dutch oven as well and serve with tartar sauce.


Version #2  used frozen, breaded haddock filets topped with cheese. I would have enjoyed it more with less oil in the pan, but it was still a nice Saturday dinner.
