Creamy Italian Salad Dressing

 

I thought it might be nice to try a new salad dressing recipe today, and this is what I selected. It was a bit on the tart and thin side, so next time I'll try less vinegar and lemon juice (reflected below). Otherwise, the flavor was quite good.

Creamy Italian Dressing Recipe

• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/3 cup olive oil
• 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
• 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes (or 1/2 tablespoon fresh)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Combine all ingredients and whisk (or shake) until smooth.
