Buttery Garlic Ginger Pasta
This turned out to be quite delicious and we'll definitely have it again! It was also quick and easy, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
This week's "aisle one" ingredient was ginger. Earlier a recipe for Buttery Garlic Ginger Pasta caught my eye as I was scrolling the internet, so this was the perfect choice to try right away.
Buttery Garlic Ginger Pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1-2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced green onion
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 4 ounces pasta, cooked
- Shrimp or other protein, optional
Melt the butter in a pan, then briefly sauté the garlic and ginger. Stir in the green onion, soy sauce, honey and hoisin sauce and let simmer for a couple of minutes to thicken. Add the pasta and toss to coat. Serve immediately. You'll note we decided to add some shrimp to make this a complete meal. I cooked the raw shrimp in the melted butter before starting this recipe, then removed it and added it back to the pan at the very end.
