Ginger Paste
We added another tube to the drawer in the refrigerator - Ginger Paste. We opened it to add to our Sweet and Sour Chicken. What should we make next?
We made some chicken chow mein as well, which we served with edamame doctored, of course, with some ginger and garlic.
Maybe we'll try fried rice next; ginger paste can be used just like grated ginger root. We used it in lamb curry.
And it made a delightful salad dressing - Carrot Ginger Dressing. Combine 2 carrots (peeled and chunked), 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/3 cup rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons ginger root (or paste!), 1 tablespoon lime juice, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a blender and process until smooth.
We used some in Asian Inspired Lettuce Wraps. Wayne wished I had created a bigger batch!
